The restaurant in Hundfjället is closed from September to and with November.
The tables for the winter are release month by month starting November 1st at 12pm.

At Frö we serve a set dinner menu of around 8 servings throughout the seasons.
We are heavily inspired by nature and draw the majority of our creativity from the natural form. Our food and own-made drinks reflect the taste of what is growing around us. The flavour of the forest, the river, the meadows, the trees & the wildflowers of Sälen & Lima.

The menu changes according to availability of the seasons and is presented at arrival.
We work with a nose-to-tail ethos and share the same approach to the wild ingredients as we do to the animals and utilize every part. With one foot in the local and wild produce of Sälen and Dalarna we stand with the other foot in quality suppliers from the rest of the Nordic countries that take a sustainable approach to agriculture and cultivation. Everything is prepared from scratch here in the restaurant, we buy whole animals as far as possible and catch our own fish. Extra joy is found in the use of uncommon produce and different parts of the ingredient. We love to inspire our guests to try unconventional flavour pairings.

The preparations for the menus are ongoing all year round with different preservation and fermentation techniques.

The combination of food and drinks is a big focus of ours and we always offer beverage pairings from small scale wine producers or our own-made juices & infusions. 

During the periods we have the restaurant shut due to improvement, transformation and renovations we are to some extend available to attend to markets, pop-ups, catering and home dinners. Please contact us via mail for more information.
